Tenders returned for dredging framework
Tenders have now been returned for the harbours dredging framework contract for Moray Council. The framework contractors are expected to be announced early/mid March 2014 and the £5 million contract will commence from 1st April 2014 and run for 4 years.
Contractor awarded highways contract
London Borough of Hillingdon has awarded it's 5 year Highways Term Maintenance Contract to O'Hara Bros Surfacing Limited. The contract is to be conducted in 3 Lots, Lot A Civils, Lot B Surfacing, Lot C Civils and Surfacing. The contract commences on the 1st April 2014.
Contractor awarded food waste treatment facility
Biogen have secured the design, build, finance and operate contract for Rhondda Cynon Taff Borough Council, to provide a food waste treatment facility. The £30 million scheme will be situated on the border of Rhondda and Merthyr Tyfil and works are expected to commence approximate early 2015.
Proposal announced for onshore wind farm
E.ON are in final public exhibitions for their 19 turbine, onshore wind farm proposed, to be known as Allt Rubha. The proposal is situated in mid Argyle at Ardrishaig near Lockgilphead. The project was recently renamed (previously Inverneill) after a watercourse on the site and is expected to produce 49MW of electricity, depending on the turbine selected. An application is expected to be submitted to Argyle & Bute Council late 2014/early 2015.
