Tender invited for land reclamation works

Invitations to tender have now been dispatched for the £20 million land reclamation contract for Cromarty Firth Port Authority. This is the third phase of the development and works are expected to commence January 2014, with a completion scheduled for June 2015. Atkins are the consulting civil engineers for the scheme that will include the expansion of the port by reclaiming approximately 35,000 sqms of sea bed including the installation of an adjoining 100 metres of strengthened quay including mooring.
Plans submitted for supermarket
Planning permission in principle (outline plans) have been submitted for a scheme by Hope Street (146) Limited, a joint venture company set up by the Scarborough Muir Group, a collaboration between Scarborough Group International and Muir Group, at Ridge Way in the Donibristle Industrial Park, Dunfermline. This scheme comprises of the construction of a mixed use development. The development includes an Aldi supermarket of 1,574sqm, a restaurant with licensed bar, a drive-thru restaurant, a business unit of 760sqm and children's indoor play area of 940sqm with associated car parking. Holmes Miller are the architects who designed this £2.9 million scheme.
Plans submitted for £3.6m supermarket
Further detailed plans have now been submitted for a scheme by Lagan (Alsager) Ltd and J Sainsbury Plc at the Twyford Bathrooms site in Lawton Road at Alsager, Stoke on Trent. This scheme comprises of demolition and the construction of a Sainsbury's supermarket of 4,254sqm with a petrol filling station and associated car parking. Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson are the architects who designed this £3.6 million scheme.
